How to use SVG to PNG

  1. Choose one or more SVG files.
  2. Pick a size: 1×, 2×, 4×, or an exact width in pixels.
  3. Choose PNG, WebP or JPG and the background.
  4. Select Convert, then download the images, or all of them as a zip.

Sharp images from vectors

SVG is the best format for icons, logos and illustrations because it scales to any size without blurring, but many places still need a bitmap: app stores, social media profiles, email signatures, presentation software, older content systems and image uploads that only accept PNG or JPG. This tool converts SVG files into PNG, WebP or JPG at the size you choose.

The vector drawing is rendered directly at the target size, rather than drawn small and stretched, so edges stay crisp even when you export a tiny icon at 2048 pixels. Choose 2× for images that look sharp on high-resolution phone and laptop screens, 4× for print and large displays, or type an exact width; the height follows the drawing's proportions.

Size, background and format

The size comes from the SVG's own width and height, in any unit, or from its viewBox when it has none. Files with neither are drawn at the 300 by 150 default that browsers use, and the tool tells you when that happens. PNG and WebP keep transparency; choose a white or custom background when the image will sit on a coloured page or needs to be visible in apps that show transparency as black. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white unless you pick a colour.

Batch and private

Convert a whole icon set in one go and download every image together as a zip, each named after its SVG. Files are converted in your browser and never uploaded.

SVG files can contain scripts and references to other websites, which is why opening one from an untrusted source can be risky. Here each file is drawn as an image, the mode in which browsers run no scripts and fetch nothing from other sites, so converting an SVG you were sent is safe.

Common uses

Making a PNG logo for a slide deck or document, preparing app and social media icons, exporting illustrations for an email newsletter, and creating a high-resolution PNG of a diagram for printing.

Questions

Will the PNG be sharp at large sizes?
Yes. The vector drawing is rendered at the size you choose, not drawn small and scaled up, so a 24-pixel icon exported at 2048 pixels has clean edges.
Is a transparent background kept?
Yes, for PNG and WebP. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white, or the colour you pick.
Is it safe to convert an SVG from somewhere else?
Yes. SVG files can contain scripts and links to other websites, but the file is drawn as an image, a mode in which browsers run no scripts and load nothing from other sites. Nothing is uploaded.
