Terms of use

Effective

These terms cover your use of WeaveAI Tools at www.weaveai.dev/tools(“the site”). The site is run by [To be completed: legal entity name], trading as WeaveAI (“WeaveAI”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What we provide

The site offers free tools for working with PDFs, images, text and code. You don't need an account to use them, and there is no daily limit. We may change, add or remove tools at any time, and we may suspend the site for maintenance or other reasons without notice.

Your files are not uploaded or stored

The tools process your files and text in your browser, on your device. We do not upload, receive or store the files you open or the text you type. A few tools check a public website: they send only the web address you type to our server, which fetches that site's public files and returns the result without storing it. The privacy page lists every tool and what, if anything, it sends, and explains the optional analytics we use with your consent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the tools to break the law or to infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright and privacy;
  • use them to process files you have no right to process, or to remove protection from documents you are not entitled to open;
  • try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the servers behind it;
  • use the website-checking tools to probe sites you are not permitted to test, or to send automated requests in volume;
  • copy or resell the site itself, or present it as your own service.

We may block access from anyone who breaks these rules.

You are responsible for your files and results

You decide what to open in a tool and what to do with the result. Keep a copy of your original files, and check every result before you rely on it, share it or send it to someone else. This matters most for work where a mistake is costly: a redacted document, a compressed contract, a converted data file, or a password. Because your files never reach us, we cannot recover a file or a result for you.

Open-source engines

Many tools are built on open-source software, such as PDF and image libraries, that runs in your browser. Each is provided under its own licence, and those licences apply to that software. The about page lists the engines and their licences. These terms do not limit any rights those licences give you.

Provided as is, with no warranty

The site and the tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including that the tools will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, WeaveAI is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, files, profit or business, arising from your use of the site or the tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Paid plan

The tools on the site are free. We may later offer an optional paid plan, WeaveAI Tools Pro, with extra features. It is not available yet. If we launch it, it will be priced and billed in US dollars through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: Dodo Payments sells the subscription to you, takes the payment, handles applicable sales taxes, and issues your invoice, and its own terms apply to the purchase. The price, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown to you before you pay, and we will add any further terms for the paid plan to this page first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply. If a change materially affects a paid plan, we will tell subscribers before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [To be completed: governing law and courts].
