Watermark image

Runs on your device

Add a text or logo watermark to photos in a batch: in a corner, centred, or tiled so it can't be cropped out.

How to use Watermark image

  1. Choose your photos; several at once is fine.
  2. Type the watermark text, or choose a logo image.
  3. Pick a position or Tiled, then set opacity and size.
  4. Select Add watermark, then download the photos or a zip.

Protect and credit your images

A watermark tells everyone who made a picture, and makes it harder to reuse without permission. Photographers mark client proofs before payment, designers mark mock-ups sent for review, sellers mark product photos so marketplaces can't copy them, and anyone can add a name or handle to pictures shared publicly. This tool adds a text or logo watermark to one photo or a whole batch, and the result downloads as individual images or a single zip.

Text or logo, placed or tiled

Type any text, such as a copyright line, a website or a social handle, and pick its colour; a thin contrasting outline keeps it readable over both bright and dark areas of the photo. Or choose a logo: a PNG with a transparent background looks best. Place the watermark in any of nine positions, set its size as a share of the image width so it looks the same on photos of different sizes, and set its opacity, from a faint mark to a solid one.

Tiled repeats the mark diagonally across the whole image. A single corner watermark can be cropped off in seconds; a tiled one can't, which makes it the right choice for proofs, previews and documents sent for review.

Quality and privacy

Each image keeps its full resolution and is saved in its original format: JPEGs at high quality, PNGs and WebPs as they were. Everything happens in your browser, so the originals never leave your device. Saving also removes metadata such as GPS location and camera details, which is worth doing before sharing pictures publicly.

Tips

Around 40 to 60 percent opacity is visible without spoiling the picture. Keep corner watermarks away from the edge an app might crop for a thumbnail, and for a consistent look across a set, use the same size and position for every image in the batch, which this tool does automatically.

Questions

Which position should I choose?
A corner is discreet and suits portfolios and social posts. Tiled repeats the mark diagonally across the whole picture, which is the hardest to crop or edit out, and suits proofs sent to clients and documents shared for review.
Will the text be readable on any photo?
The text gets a thin contrasting outline, dark around light text and light around dark text, so it stays legible over bright skies and dark shadows alike.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Watermarks are added in your browser and the photos never leave your device. Saving also removes metadata such as GPS location.
