Extract PDF pages

Runs on your device

Pull chosen pages out of a PDF into a new file, in the order you type them, without uploading anything.

How to use Extract PDF pages

  1. Choose the PDF.
  2. Enter the pages to keep, in the order you want them, for example 3, 1-2.
  3. Select Extract pages.
  4. Download the new PDF.

What happens to your file

When you choose a PDF, your browser reads it into the memory of this tab. The work runs in a background worker inside the same tab, using pdf-lib, an open-source PDF library. The result is handed back to the page and saved through your browser's normal download.

Nothing is sent to WeaveAI or anyone else, so there is no copy to delete afterwards. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run the tool. You will see the PDF engine load once from this site, and nothing carrying your document.

Extracting and reordering in one step

Write the pages you want in the order you want them. 1-3 keeps the first three pages; 7, 2, 3 puts page seven first and then pages two and three. Repeating a number repeats the page, which is handy for a cover sheet that should appear twice.

This is the quickest way to send someone only the part of a document they need: the signed page of a contract, one chapter of a report, or the invoice from a batch of scans.

Extract, split or delete?

Extract makes one new PDF from the pages you list. Split makes several PDFs at once, such as one per page or one per range. Delete pages keeps everything except the pages you list. All three copy pages without re-rendering them, so the text stays selectable and the images keep their quality.

The new file is independent of the original, which stays unchanged on your device, and it carries no author, title or dates.

Limits

There is no daily limit and no size cap set by us; the practical limit is your device's memory. Bookmarks, links that jump to another page, and interactive form fields are not carried into the new file. Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first in the application that created them.

Questions

Can I change the page order?
Yes. Pages appear in the order you write them, so 5, 1-4 moves page 5 to the front.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The new file is built by code running in your browser tab and never leaves your device.
What's the difference from Split PDF?
Extract makes one new PDF from the pages you choose. Split makes several files, such as one per page or one per range.
